A very good start! I hope to see more if you continue to work on this project, since it already has a good base and honestly I've always wanted to see a 1st person Pico fangame!

SlickRamen responds:

We're working to update it! More levels and weapons as well as extra polish and quality of life stuff :)

I really like this! If fleshed out, this could genuinely be a 5/5 game! Movement is floaty, but not uncontrollable, characters feel smooth and fun, and overall it is just a good time!

I think this is a very solid demo! The only thing I would suggest is refining how the game feels when you go further into developing it. I feel like the jump should be dependent on holding it down to get max height, and that the attack is way too quick. Plus, I do feel that it can be hard to see in some areas where to go, especially with the last area due to the colors meshing in with the background. But, for a demo, I think it is a good start! Keep it up and I hope to see this turn into a completed game.

Thanks for the feedback! I will try to improve those things

Not bad, but the jump feels a bit too float-y for my taste-- leaves a lot of the challenge for the game feeling out my control at times. Along with this, the screen region for the game without fullscreen is a bit off. Otherwise, I think it is fairly neat!

This has no right to be as fun as it is.

Surprisingly difficult and interesting! Good work!

I appreciate the attempt, especially for your first game. It functions and is reasonably competent. But, there are problems with it that you should keep in mind for the next time you try to make a game.

For a fighting game to be truly playable, you must have a set win-lose condition for both sides. Whether that be their health depleting to 0, or getting knocked off the stage-- it is necessary for the game to really function as a fighting game. Otherwise, it defeats the purpose of the genre.

Furthermore, for the game to be fair, every attack has to have a certain knockback and cooldown. This is so there is always a risk to each attack. Otherwise, you end up having moves like the punch in your game being extremely overpowered as you can simply spam it and easily rack up score, and giving the opposing side no true ability to counterattack or stop it.

In conclusion, it's a good start. You've gotten a functional game out there and that is what matters most. But if you want to continue developing games, you do have to consider these factors in the future otherwise your games will end up feeling like they have no end goal or purpose. Keep trying though, you can definitely make a good game with enough time and learning.

EDIT:
With the new update, I feel like a lot of the initial problems I had were fixed, so I can safely rate this higher than before. Definitely keep it up, I think you can make great games if you keep at it!

LisandroMakesMusic responds:

thank you :D
Thinking of adding more stuff to it like new backgrounds to fight in, or even its own remastered version as this one isn't my favorite project
With that out of the way, I'll let you know if i release a remaster by then, thanks' for playing though, really appreciate it!

Most likely, I don't think this game works. It's probably a troll I assume since the loading screen is a .gif. But hey, if it is a troll, that's a bit funny ngl.

This is extremely solid and extremely fun. I cannot wait to see what this gets developed into. Great work with everything!

I think it's quite a neat game! I like the art style and music, but I feel like if you decide to flesh this out further, you should add more to the level design and maybe adjust the controls to feel a bit better. But the controls and feels may be an issue with the engine you use, so yeah.

Overall, I think it's neat! But I definitely would like to see this fleshed out more.
